I really enjoyed this post. You explain this topic very well. There are lots of people who get pleasure from making rosaries for countless different reasons. People make hundreds of thousands of Mission Rosaries which are sent to missions and/or troops around the world. People purchase rosary materials for various reasons: Baptisms, First Communion, Confirmation, Weddings, Easter, Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc. There is a countless selection of Rosary making materials. It is a outstanding idea to engrave them to make personalized rosaries for loved ones.

Just saw Father of Mercy video. Fantastic! but it made me cry, too. Very well done. Also own St. Anthony video which was great, too. I hope his books will be translated into English really soon.

I’m grateful for your reference to my book, The Power of Pause. Thank you. I wrote it because of Pascal’s old line, “By means of a diversion we can avoid our own company 24 hours a day.” I certainly have done that!
And I wholeheartedly agree with what you say about the ironic conundrum of being swept up by busyness, especially during the season of Lent and Easter. Sometimes, we just need the permission to say NO, to stop. To let our souls catch up with our bodies.
Thanks for the recommendation regarding parish use. I know that several are already using the book for Lent. It's very conducive for group use. (The good news is that the audio book -- I'm reading the 52 chapters -- will be released in February.)
On my walk this morning, I watched a doe and two fawns, standing 30 feet away in the edge of the forest. And they watched me, and wondered what the fuss was all about. But I was mesmerized, nonetheless. And I remember Jim Harrison’s great line; “Paying attention is the only game in town.” Paying attention is another way to talk about prayer, what one priest called, the sacrament of the blessed present. I would have tweeted about it, but thankfully didn’t have my phone. Keep doing what you’re doing. My own blog, for those interested, is on my site terryhershey.com

Thanks for the review of this book. I've heard Terry speak out at the LA Religious Education Congress and am a big fan. The book sounds terrific.

I also liked the sound of the Saint Benedict book from the other day.
